Tiny drawings appeared in storybooks and blank walls became canvases (with permission of course). Being an only child left room for my imagination to take flight. Having very supportive parents, I always had supplies and a place to create. By expanding upon my God given talents, I continue to grow in my Art through personal studies. Teaching adults and children for 30 years, although rewarding, has I see paintings in nature and turn them into Art. My Artistic journey began at a very young age, now turned into a "Relax & Paint" approach when teaching others. My main interests lie in painting birds, wildlife, Coastal scenes and lighthouses. My mediums of choice are drybrush watercolors, egg tempera and acrylics. Traveling as often and as far as possible with my husband of 25 years. Kayaking, boating, cruising and camping allow me to explore for inspiration. Whether in a deer blind, painting in my kayak or plen-air, wherever it leads is where I go to draw from nature. Since my work is completed in studio, being close to my subjects is important to my creative process. A top priority is enjoying as much family time as possible with our two adult children and our two grandkids. My husband and I make our home adjacent to the Bull Run Conservancy in Brad Run, VA.
